What Waylight is

Waylight is a reading aid that provides optional word anchors, line focus, and reading fonts. It is not medical treatment, diagnosis, therapy, or a guarantee of faster reading or any other result.

Free and Supporter access

The desktop extension and Reader include the free features described on the pricing page. A $5 one-time Supporter purchase unlocks the personal paid features described at checkout, with no recurring Waylight subscription. A Supporter license is for the purchaser's personal use and may not be resold or publicly redistributed.

Payments, receipts, taxes, and purchase records are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Refund requests are handled under the terms shown by Lemon Squeezy at checkout and any rights required by applicable law.

Document betas

The Google Docs and Microsoft Word add-ons are beta software. Unlike the visual-only browser extension and Reader, they change document formatting. Use a copy of important documents, review the warning before continuing, and keep normal backups or version history. You are responsible for deciding whether a document is safe to edit.

Acceptable use

Do not use Waylight to violate law, another person's rights, a platform's rules, or the security of a website or service. Do not misuse license validation, distribute paid bookmarklet code, or falsely present yourself as Waylight.

Platform limits

Waylight depends on browsers, operating systems, Google, Microsoft, Apple, and other third-party platforms. Their changes can affect compatibility or require Waylight updates. Some pages, protected browser screens, canvas-rendered editors, and embedded content cannot be modified by an extension.

No warranty

Waylight is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, universal compatibility, preservation of third-party document formatting, or a particular reading outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Waylight is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the product. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
